Prince William and his wife Kate to Visit Pakistan soon

Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton have plans to visit Pakistan in autumn this year. This visit will be the first official visit by a member of the British royal family to Pakistan since 2006.

Kensington Palace tweeted:
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will undertake an official visit to Pakistan this autumn, at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Further details will be advised in due course.

Pakistan welcomed the royal visit. Pakistan's High Commissioner to Britain, Nafees Zakaria tweeted:
"Government and the people of Pakistan warmly welcome the announcement of the Royal visit. The upcoming Royal Visit is a reflection of the importance the United Kingdom attaches to its relations with Pakistan. The two countries enjoy historical links which both sides wish to strengthen further."

It is the very first visit of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Catherine to Pakistan.

Earlier his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II visited Pakistan during 1961 and 1997.
