How to get Admission in PAF College Sargodha

Admission to the PAF College Sargodha is given in Class VIII after meeting specified criteria, for the Flying Branch of PAF.

Eligibility Criteria

Following is the basic eligibility criteria for selection/ admission:
Age: The candidates must be over 11 ½ years and under 13 ½ years of age on 1st January 2020. No relaxation, whatsoever, in the age limit is permitted.
Qualification: During selection, the candidate must have passed Class VII by the time of admission (April 2020). Candidates of Cambridge System are also eligible to apply.
Citizenship: Candidate must be a male citizen of Pakistan or Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Note: Candidates who wear glasses are not eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure

After fulfilling the above-mentioned prerequisites, a candidate pass through the following selection process consists of the following three phases:

Phase-I Entrance / Written Test

This phase consists of two papers of 02 hours each. Paper-1 is of General Science and Math while Paper-2 is of English and Urdu. Paper-1 may be attempted either in English or Urdu. The calculator is not allowed in the examination hall. 

Phase-II Intelligence Test / Preliminary Medical Examination / Interview

This phase can be further divided into the following three parts:
  1. Candidates who qualify the written test are required to appear in the Intelligence test to determine their IQ.
  2. A preliminary medical examination is carried out of the candidates who qualify the intelligence test. 
  3. Successful candidates are to appear for an interview to further assess their knowledge, personality, character traits, confidence etc. 

Phase-III Final Medical Examination by Central Medical Board (CMB)

Candidates selected in the interview are called for the Final Medical Tests at PAF Hospitals Islamabad, Sargodha and Karachi. PAF’s Central Medical Board (CMB) examines the candidates thoroughly according to the requirements of Flying Branch. The decision of the Central Medical Board (CMB) is Final and no appeal against the decision is entertained.

Final Selection

Candidates who qualify the CMB are included in the merit list for the final selection. The calls up letter along with joining instructions are sent to the successful candidates only.

Quota

There is no reserved seats or quota of any kind at this institution.

College Fee

Messing, Medical Cover, Textbooks and Uniform are provided free by the College after selection. However, the College Fund of Rs 3,000/- per month is charged from the parents for supplementary welfare, pocket money, recreational programs and other student-related activities not catered for by PAF.

Prospectus, Application Form and Admission Schedule

Prospectus and application forms are available from 08 July to 07 September 2019. The application form can also be downloaded from here.
The last date for submission of duly filled application form is 16 September 2019.
Entry test will be conducted on 13 October 2019.
Intelligence Test/ medical examination and interviews will be conducted from November 2019 to February 2020.
Classes will start on 12 April 2020.
