General Pervez Musharraf

General (R) Pervez Musharraf was born on 11 August 1943 in Daryaganj in Delhi, India. He was second of three brothers. He moved to Pakistan with his parents at the time of independence of Pakistan. Pervez Musharraf also lived in Turkey while his father was a diplomat. He served Pakistan as Chief of Army Staff, Chief Executive and President of Pakistan. He took power on 12 October 1999, following a military coup and subsequent expulsion of the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He formed a new political party, PML-Q (Pakistan Muslim League Quaid e Azam) with the help of Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain. Pervez Musharraf resigned on 12 August 2008.

General Pervez Musharraf joined the Pakistan Army (Artillery Regiment) on 1964 after completing his course at Pakistan Military Academy Kakul. Soon after it, he joined the SSG (Special Services Group). He fought all major wars between India and Pakistan including wars of 1965, 1971, Siachen and Kargil Wars. He was awarded many awards including Tamgha-e-Basalat, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military). He was also nominated for Noble Peace Prize of 2004.



There are two groups of people in Pakistan; one who dislike him very strongly and the other think that he was not bad but a number of people also love his ideology. His downfall started when he suspended Chief Justice of Pakistan on 9 March 2007. Attack on Lal Masjid, Killing of Akbar Bugti, Drone Attacks and Pro America Policies were also reasons for the end of his regime.

He delivered a number of high paid lectures in the world’s top class universities and institutes. He gets about $200,000 per day from his lectures.

Now after his resignation, he is planning to launch a new political party in Pakistan, All Pakistan Muslim League. He claimed Kamal Ata Turk as his role model.

    Pakistan can be run properly and only by General Pervaiz Musharaf.
    The legend and the ever hero of Pakistan.
    I like his Personaliy through out the World.

    I want to a Leader like him.
