Gujrat is a famous district of Punjab province of Pakistan. It is both an industrial and agricultural district.

Location of Gujrat:

Gujrat city is located between Jhelum River and Chenab River. Gujrat is located on GT Road between federal headquarter Islamabad (160 km) and provincial headquarter Lahore (120 km). It’s all other tehsils; Kharian and Sarai Alamgir are also ideally located on the same GT Road a few kilometers apart from each other.

Industries in Gujrat:

Gujrat has many state of the art industries; some of which has international fame due to the quality of their products. Fan Industry, Furniture & Furnishers Industry, Auto Parts Industry, Pottery Works and Ceramics Industry are the major industries among various other small and medium industries of district Gujrat.

Agricultural Gujrat:

Gujrat is also an Agricultural district. Rice, Wheat, Sugarcane, Tobacco and all types of vegetables are the major crops of the district. Basmati rice of district Gujrat has international fame due to its unique fragrance and quality and it is demanded inside and outside the country.
