Islamic Solution Towards Current Morality Issues in Pakistan

As history remains steadfast in its strict principles, the beloved Pakistani youth are our future leaders and decision-makers of the country, and their interests and priorities are likely to shape the direction and moral prosperity of Pakistan in the long-term future. It is, therefore, important to invest in the education, development, and well-being of Pakistani youth to support their growth and success. In the current surge of global entertainment, the majority of Pakistani youth continue to blur reality and direct their primary focus towards the latest cultural trends, such as the FIFA World Cup, watching the latest Lollywood films, and so on. Conformably, we have forgotten our deep-down traditional religious values. Nonetheless, our beloved Pakistan (the Land of the Pure) has a population of 225.2 million people, 96.47% of whom are Muslims. As a result, despite being one of the most popular Islamic countries in the world, our current reputation within the Islamic world may be truly disappointing. In addition, we continue to observe and face moral and ethical societal issues such as human rights violations, women’s rights, religious extremism, corruption, environmental degradation, etc.

Thereby, we are additionally aware that the above-mentioned current issues revolving within Pakistan relate to the foundational moral structure of the Pakistani youth that has been nurtured through the course of the recent 2000s' western influence, liberalism, brainwashing, etc. To further emphasize, despite the presence of Islam, a religion that purportedly eliminates all basis for moral and ethical issues, we continue to see an increase in these moral uncertainties on the streets of Pakistan's major metropolitan cities, such as Lahore, Karachi, and Hyderabad. Pakistan's dealing with these issues in the context of a financial crisis may present numerous financial and political challenges, but there are several potential strategies that could be considered from an Islamic perspective:

SOLUTIONS

1. Promote education and understanding of Islamic teachings: A key element of addressing moral issues in Pakistan from an Islamic perspective may be to promote greater understanding and education about the values and principles of Islam. This could include efforts to provide more accessible and accurate information about Islam as well as initiatives to promote critical thinking and dialog about the application of Islamic teachings to contemporary issues.

2. Develop and implement Islamic-based social and economic policies: Governments and other organizations in Pakistan could consider developing and implementing social and economic policies that are based on Islamic principles such as justice, fairness, and compassion. This could involve initiatives to address issues such as corruption, environmental degradation, and discrimination against minority groups.

CONCLUSION

Ultimately, addressing moral issues in Pakistan from an Islamic perspective will require a multifaceted approach that involves the efforts of governments, organizations, and individuals and is guided by the values and principles of Islam. The Government of Pakistan should still adopt and reinforce these religious initiatives, methodologies, and practices within the education sector to hopefully lead Pakistan to prosperity with diminished morality issues.
