How to get Financial Help from Flood Relief Cash Program

Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Shahbaz Sharif has allocated 37.2 billion Pak Rupees for Flood Relief Cash Program. Flood has affected many parts of the country and people are in dire need of help from the Government, welfare organizations, and the general public.  9 million people of about 1.5 million families are affected by this flood. 

The government will provide financial help of PKR 25,000 to each affected family. Eligible families will be contacted through SMS from 8171 on their registered numbers. 

Families which are not already registered with BISP (Benazir Income Support Program), should send CNIC number of their family head via SMS to 8171 from mobile.

It is also worth mentioning that 5 billion rupees have been sanctioned to NDMA for rescue and relief programs in the affected areas. Moreover, RS. 500,000 will be provided to the affected families for the reconstruction of their houses.
