FPSC issued schedule for CSS Exams 2020 - Apply Online


Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) intends to hold CSS Exam 2020, for recruitment to posts in BS-17 of various Occupational Groups/ Services of Federal Government. FPSC has recently issued schedule for CSS examination for year 2020.

Schedule of activities of CSS Exams

Schedule of activities / important dates are: 
Advertisement for applications - 29th September 2019
Receipt of online application - 1 st to 31st October 2019
Last date for receipt of hard copy of online application form along with requisite documents - 11th November 2019
Cut-off date for determining eligibility criteria - 31st December 2019
Commencement of CSS Exam - 12th February 2020

Eligibility Criteria for CSS

Both male and female aspirants including special persons having at least 2nd Division Bachelor’s degree and age between 21 to 30 years as on 31st December 2019 are eligible to apply. 
The upper age limit may be relaxed by two years in categories mentioned in Rule 6 of CSS Competitive Examination Rules, subject to fulfillment of stipulated conditions.

How to Apply Online for CSS?

Now all posts are required to be applied online for CSS examination.
  1. Visit FPSC website.
  2. Select job and fill your bio-data including CNIC, domicile and qualification.
  3. Deposit fee in NBP, SBP or Government Treasury. The Application Fee for posts (BS-14, 16 & 17 = Rs. 300/- BS 18= Rs. 750/- BS-19 = Rs. 1200/- BS-20 and above= Rs. 1500/-). Enter details of fee deposited, in this online form.
  4. Select test and interview centers and submit the form.
  5. To take a printout of the online application, select ‘Take Printout’ button and follow the instruction as they appear. (Candidates must print their online application for their record purpose). This printout is not required to be sent to FPSC.
  6. The confirmation of application submission is instantly given online to the candidate with a specific Tracking Number, upon completion of the online application process.

Please note that:
  • No hardcopy of application or copies of documents are required to be forwarded to FPSC.  However, the printed online application should be retained by the applicants for their own record.
  • The candidates are required to submit requisite documents only in response to FPSC notice.
  • Do not send Treasury Receipt to FPSC, it should be preserved in safe custody by the applicant
    and has to be produced at the time of appearing in the screening test.
  • Information claimed in online application form will be treated as final.
  • If you want to retrieve Tracking ID, Select the job for which you have already applied online, enter your CNIC, email address (exactly which you provided in your online application for the applied case), and Verification Code as displayed. The Tracking ID will be shown. Note this Tracking ID for future reference.

Quota for CSS Exams

Detail of regional quota is as under:
Merit=7.5%
Punjab=50%
Sindh=19% (Sindh(U)-7.6%, Sindh(R)-11.4%)
Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa=11.5%
Balochistan=6%
GB/FATA=4%
AJK=2%.

Note:
10% quota is reserved for women from the share of Provinces/Regions, and un-filled vacancies will be carried forward to the next examination.
5% quota is reserved for Minorities (Non-Muslims) from the share of Provinces/Regions. Unfilled vacancies will be carried forward to next examination.
