New Revised Pay Scales expected in January 2013

Government employees are anxiously waiting from last several months for an increase in their salaries either through new revised pay scales or unified pay scales or by introducing any allowance. Though this government has increased salaries of employees almost double but it is not sufficient keeping in view the inflation rate. Generally salary is the only source of income for majority of the government servants and price hiking effects govt employees directly.

Increase in the salaries is the hottest gossip topic among federal government employees these days. And there are also many rumours, predictions and expectations being discussed in employees while some people have also prepared Revised Pay Scale Charts as well depending upon unreliable sources. Revised pay scales were expected in October and then November of this year but now some newspapers published a news that federal government of Pakistan has decided to introduce revised pay scales w.e.f. January 2013. 

According to sources, federal finance ministry asked Pay and Pension Committee to revise the pay scales in accordance with the budget 2012-13 so as to benefit the employees without putting much burden on national exchequer. Dr. Ishrat Hussain (Former Governor SBP) is the Chairman of PPC.
