if this government changes the income tax slabs and by this way people have to pay more taxes from there income then definitely this would be the worst budget of pakistan which would be announced by this PPP government. In pakistan tax slabs should not be changed because this never suits our people incomes. If this govt do this then they will definitely loss the next election

I fully support your point of view on tax slabs & its impact on tax payer's take home income & subsequent implications for PPP government in the coming elections. What I do not accept, as a tax payer of this country, is the "dishonesty" with which the facts are "twisted" & how the tax payer is "deceived". In simple words, if government has to increase the tax then it should say so& provide logical justification for doing so. It should not create confusion by stating "there will be no increase in the taxes, only the tax slabs have been reduced from 17 to 5/6". I also want to know as to what has been done to broaden the tax net in percentage & how this issue will be tackled in the new budget. I was extremely disappointed to learn from "Khari Bat" of Luqman Mubashir yesterday that the GDP growth rate was much higher during the Musharaf & Zia regimes (around 5.7/8 %) & has gone drastically down to the so called democratic government of PPP (around 2/3. something). I strongly urge the tax payers of Pakistan to strengthen their collective voice & action against this deteriorating national situation by leading the tax reforms, dialogue & ensuring the proper utilization of tax. In order to save our tomorrow, We will have to act today.
