Forbes List of World’s Billionaires 2011 Published without Pakistani Billionaires

Forbes Magazine has recently published World’s Billionaires of 2011 List. The list includes 1210 names from 55 countries. Unfortunately, there is not a single name from Pakistan.

Is there no Billionaire in Pakistan?

Really, is it?

Let’s, first have an overview of the list of World’s Billionaires!
According to the list, there are 1210 Billionaires in this world and accumulative capital of these billionaires is about $4.5 trillion, about 2.3 percent of the world's total wealth. These 1210 people belong to 55 countries of the world. Forbes has given these people ranks from 1 to 1140.
Mexican Carlos Slim Helu is the richest person of the world with US$74 billion, Bill Gates is the second with US$56 billion and Warren Buffet is the third with US$50 billion. Two Indians are in top 10 of the Worlds Billionaires List; Lakshmi Mittal on 6th with US$31.1 billion and Mukesh Ambani on 9th with US$ 27 billion.

Now, come to the topic!
Pakistan is one of the biggest countries in the world in both area and population. Pakistan has an area of 7, 96,096 square km and the population is about 180 million. It has all the natural resources, logistically located in an important place in the world and moreover, its people are hardworking, skilled and intelligent. These Pakistanis are actively taking part in the progress of many countries’ economy. Then, why is there no Pakistani Billionaire?

Mian Muhammad Mansha is the owner of MCB Bank, Nishat Mills Ltd, Pakistan Aviators & Aviation Ltd, St James's Club and Hotel London. He is a good moral businessman, has declared his assets and was enlisted in Forbes World’s Billionaires List of 2010. It was the first time when any Pakistani was included in the Forbes Billionaire List. But unfortunately, his name is not included in 2011’s list.

Many Pakistani Industrialists, Landlords, Political Leaders, Businessmen and Business Families possess uncountable wealth. But it seems that they hide their money in foreign countries banks with bogus names. They don’t want to declare their actual assets because they don’t want to pay taxes on their wealth and they also have not any justification from where they have earned this money.

We request to Pakistani Billionaires, please wake up, let’s be patriot Pakistani, invest your money in Pakistan wisely, pay taxes and participate to make this nation a pride nation.

What Do You Think?
