Thar Sindh Coal Reserves- US$ 25 Trillion

Thar Sindh Coal Reserves

If All The Oil Reserves of Saudia Arab & Iran Put Together…. These Are Approximately 375 Billion Barrels,
A Single Thar Coal Reserve of Sindh is about 850 Trillion Cubic Feet, Which is more than Oil Reserves of Saudi Arabia & Iran.
These reserves estimated at 850 trillion cubic feet (TCF) of gas, about 30 times higher than Pakistan’s proven gas reserves of 28 TCF.

Dr Murtaza Mughal president of Pakistan Economy Watch in a statement said that these reserves of coal worth USD 25 trillion can not only cater the electricity requirements of Pakistan for next 100 years but also save almost four billion dollars in staggering oil import bill.

Just 2% usage Of Thar Coal can produce 20,000 Mega Watts of electricity for next 40 years without any single second of Load Shedding.
And if the whole reserves are utilized, then it could easily be imagined how much energy could be generated.
The coal power generation would cost Pakistan PKR 5.67 per unit while power generated by IPPs (Independent Power Projects) cost PKR 9.27.

It Requires Just Initial 420 Billion Rupees Investment whereas Pakistan receives about 1220 Billion annually from Tax Only.

Chinese and other companies had not only carried out surveys and feasibilities of this project but also offered 100 percent investment in last 7 to 8 years but the “Petroleum Gang” always discouraged them in a very systematic way.
Petroleum lobby is very strong in Pakistan and they are against any other means of power generation except for the imported oil. This lobby is major beneficiary of the increasing oil bill that is estimated above 15 billion dollar this year. Even Government was planning to Sell all these reserve to a company on a very low price.
When Pervez Musharraf was president he gave green signal to embark upon the initiation of work on exploiting energy potential of these coal reserves of Thar under a modern strategy.

Think About This, How We Can Help Our Home Land.
We should utilize this blessing in a good way and not to sell all these to increase their bank accounts.

Writing a Professional Advertisement for Sale of Property in Pakistan

Real Estate Business in Pakistan
Despite inflation, recession, political turmoil and property slum, Pakistan real estate is considered as an attractive market. The real estate market is popular in other countries as well due to the relaxed property laws. However, due to inflation, now buying and selling of properties has become a difficult task. The main hurdle every investor faces is to attract the potential buyers.

Writing A Professional Advertisement for Property Sale and Buy
A professional property advertisement is one of the ways to attract buyers. Writing a professional property advertisement is an art that is hard to master. Most of the investors and Pakistan property agents overlook the importance of advertisement and print a rough draft full of spelling mistakes, vague sentences with no specific property details, which discourage buyers from contacting the owner.

Tips to Write A Professional Advertisement
To write a professional property advertisement, investors should first brainstorm. That could help investors come up with different ideas to attract their potential customers. Always remember to identify the attractive and important aspects of property and in cash them to entice buyers. Following are some important points of writing a professional advertisement of Pakistan real estate properties.
  • To entice a buyer, you only need one but strong attribute. Never enlist all attributes of the property - only select the most attractive and lucrative aspects. This will make potential buyers interested and they will be forced to visit your property.
  • Never exaggerate in your advertisement. Provide accurate and relevant information about the property. Also, avoid promising words such as the best site, most popular etc.
  • Never include less attractive aspects of property as negative points make buyers reluctant to consider your Pakistan property.
  • Always use straightforward and professional language and convey your whole message in an easy way. Avoid the usage of idioms, similes and confusing abbreviations that challenge the reader. Remember not to use discriminatory or biased words and be polite in your tone.
  • Attaching clear, vivid and bright pictures of your property is a great idea and can lure many buyers since a picture says a thousand words.
  • Advertise your property on all possible marketing mediums such as online banners, online property listings, banners, brochures, posters, TV ads, newspaper etc. Professional advertisement of properties in Pakistan is all about attracting and luring the buyer to your doorstep, successfully ending the deal is a subject of another topic.
  • Mention full address of your property and give reference of popular locations or places. If possible, give the distance of your property from hospitals, schools, markets, playgrounds and main highways.

Poll Results: Imran 1st, Nawaz 2nd, Musharraf 3rd, Zardari 5th and Gillani 10th

To know the opinion of educated Pakistanis about Pakistani Political Leaders, I conducted a survey here on this Blog. Then publicize it via facebook, twitter, email and SMS to make it successful.
I included the names of 15 most famous politicians in this survey from almost all national level political parties. This poll was started on 10 June, 2011. Today this poll has gotten its 1000th vote. However this poll is still running up to next year but here I am sharing its so far results with my readers.

Imran Khan of PTI is established as the Most Famous Politician with about 58percent votes, which are more than the total votes of all the 14 remaining politicians in this list.

Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif (PML-N) holds 2nd position with 14 percent votes while his brother got 4th position (8%).

Ironically, Pervez Musharraf (APML) got 3rd position with 12 percent votes. It is very strange that generally it is said that Pervez Musharraf has loosed his support in Pakistan but this online survey shows that he still has enough support in Pakistan.

Asif Ali Zardari (PPP) and Altaf Hussain (MQM) and Makhdoom Javed Hashmi (PML-N) are competing for 5th position with 4 percent votes each.

Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed and Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan got about 2, 2 percent votes.

While Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, Chaudhry Pervez Ellahi, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, Asfandyar Wali Khan and Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan got only 1, 1 percent votes.

Note: These figures show only the opinion of online participants.

BPS Pay Scales and Salaries of Government Servants in Pakistan

BPS Pay Scales in Pakistan

Though there are also some other Pay Scale Systems in Pakistan except Basic Pay Scale Structure (BPS) but BPS is widely used pay scale system in Pakistan. Most of the Government Departments and Organizations follow BPS System. SPS and army scales are examples of other pay systems in Pakistan while private organizations/companies/industries are free to make their own pay structures while Government fixes a minimum salary of any private employee.

BPS scales are regularly revised after every few years. Previously these were revised in 2008 and now after three years these are once again revised in 2011 keeping in view the inflation rate in Pakistan.
Here I am giving BPS pay structure in brief.
