Nawab Akbar Bugti Death - Secret Revealed

by
Balochistan High Court has directed Police Station Dera Bugti to register an FIR against former Presedent Pervez Musharaf, former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, Former Interior Minister Aftab ahmed Sher Pao and others in the case of the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti. The court issued the directives on the petition of Nawab Jamil Akbar Bugti, son of Akbar Bugti.

The court however observed that currently no FIR can be registered against Governor NWFP Owais Ahmed Ghani under article 248 as long as he enjoys a constitutional post.
Akbar Bugti was killed in a military operation in the Taratani cave of Kohlu district in August 2006. The counsel for the petitioner Hadi Shakeel Advocate said the three year delay in approaching the court was caused by the immunity Musharraf enjoyed being head of state.

The differences between Akbar Bugti and Pervez Musharraf developed after the Dr Shazia rape incident in 2005. Akbar Bugti had left Dera Bugti and went into the mountains where he was eventually killed during a military operation.

Districts of Gujranwala Division> History, Industry, GEPCO

by
History of Gujranwala:
Gujranwala is located in the North East of the Punjab and it is the seventh largest city of Pakistan. Gujranwala is known for being the birth place [ November 13, 1780] of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the erstwhile ruler of Punjab. He was born in a Haveli in Gujranwala’s "Purani Mandi" or " Old Market [ his territory included Khyber to the Jumna and Kashmir to Multan. It is from the descendants of Ranjit Singh that the British later were to obtain, under fraudulent circumstances, the famous Kohinoor Diamond. which now is part of the Crown Jewels. Gujranwala city appears to be 500 years old.

Districts of Gujranwala Division:
Once it was a District of Lahore Division and now it is a big Division with following 6 Districts:
  1. Gujranwala
  2. Gujrat
  3. Hafizabad
  4. Sialkot
  5. Mandi Baha ul Din
  6. Narowal
Origion of Name Gujranwala:
The origin of the name Gujranwala is shrouded in mists of time. The first name of the settlement according to the compilers of the first edition of the district Gazette was khanpur Shansi after an individual of the JUTT cast called Khan Shansi who founded 11 villages in the nearby area. For some reason Gujar occupied the land from Jatt. They reach such dominance that the It seems likely that the district once contained the capital of the Punjab, at an epoch when Lahore had not begun to exist.

British ruled over the city until independence of Pakistan.

After Independence:
After the distribution of subcontinent India, all the Sikhs and the Hindus migrated to India and the Muslim pilgrims of the Eastern Indian-Punjab moved to Gujranwala.

Gujranwala Today:
Gujranwala now is an agricultural marketing center (grains, melons, sugarcane), it is also a commercial and industrial center, manufacturing ceramics, iron safes, copper, brass, and aluminum utensils. Cultivation in the surrounding area is dependent upon canal irrigation. Wheat, cotton, rice, barley, and millet are the chief crops. World 's best Quality Rice grows here. In 1951 the city was converted into the capital of the district which Gave rise to the new industries in the city. The Gujranwala hydroelectric project provides power from the Chanab River. There are also rice and sugar mills and glassworks in the locality.

City has an International Level Cricket Stadium, Jinnah Stadium also or formerly known as Municipal Stadium. Gujranwala, chamber of commerce & industry came into being. In November 1978, and the first elected executive committee (Majlis-a-Aamla) took the charge of the chamber. In all over Pakistan GCCI is one of those chambers who have their own building. The credit of construction of chamber's building undoubtedly goes to its founders. Now apart from the chamber office, the Zonal / Circle offices of Habib Bank Limited, United Bank Limited, Allied Bank Limited and State Bank of Pakistan are functioning in the building. The city has many hospitals and several colleges affiliated with the University of the Punjab.

General Information about the City:
The city is connected by rail and the Grand Trunk Road with Peshawar and Lahore. Gujranwala has a relatively glorious history.
Gujranwala, on the Grand Trunk Road from Rawalpindi to Lahore, now the third largest city in the Punjab, is of little centrality, even in the provincial context, due to its proximity to Lahore; like a number of secondary cities, it has been benefitting from the spill overs of the capital of Punjab.
Situated on the both sides of 'G.T. Road' which is the longest Road of Pakistan, Gujranwala is about 67 kms to the north of Lahore. It takes 1 hour to be at the city by any Local Train from Lahore. The District comprises an area of 3198 sq. m. In 1981 the population was 7,522,352. Showing an increase of 29% Decade.

Famous Villages and Towns:
The Gujranwala District includes many small villages like Kamonke, Eminabad, Ferozwala, Rahwali, Talwandi Ghakhar. City is known as the "City of Wrestlers". It has produced famous wrestlers of the subcontinent, who have proved their skill and strength. This city is proud to attain fame in subcontinent in this behalf with grand titles ever won by any city of the world. People are fond of food. The Hotels, Restaurants with their "Tikkas" "Chanps" "Kababs" are the favorite places of the people. In order to meet their appetite the Gujranwala fisher department has made Artificial Fish Ponds near Eminabad, which serves as hatchery for fishes for selling them in market. Where they are being Fried or being served with Rice.

Jaswant Singh (BJP), Jinnah and Pak India Relationship

by
Jaswant Singh, a former senior BJP leader will visit Pakistan on 26 September, 2009. He writes a book “JINNAH-India Partition Independence”. In which he revealed some truths and facts about partition and independence. But these facts could not be according to BJP and its Hindu Nationalist Roots. So BJP expelled Mr. Jaswant Singh from BJP. While banning the book last month, the Gujarat government had said that Mr. Singh’s book was “objectionable, misleading and against public tranquility”. But soon the Gujarat high court lifted the ban saying that the government had not “read the book” before imposing the ban.

The book examines the role of Congress party leader and the country’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Mr. Patel in the partition of India in 1947. Mr. Singh writes that Mr. Patel was “far off the mark” in many ways with his projections about the division and future of India. The question also arises here that why senior party leader L.K. Advani was not similarly punished after he openly described Mr. Jinnah as “secular” after a visit to Pakistan in 2005.

Jaswant Singh is also facing furor for being closely associated with Quaid’s daughter Dina Wadia and her son Nusli Wadia. It is an allegation that Nusli Wadia financed the book to glorify his grandfather’s image. Nusli Wadia denies it strongly.

Jaswant Singh is prepared for the launch of his book in Pakistan too. The Indian government has allowed Jaswant Singh to visit Pakistan on September 26 to promote his book. He would arrive in Karachi on September 26, before heading to Islamabad the next day to attend a book-launch ceremony at the Islamabad Press Club.

Jaswant Singh said that “he tried to build bridges with Pakistan but was tripped up by his own colleagues”. In a broader perspective it doesn’t matter how Indians see Jinnah as they only portray Gandhi and Nehru as their heroes criticizing Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It is and will remain a fact that he is the founder of Pakistan and every Pakistani has a respect for him and will always respect him. The visit of Jaswant Singh to Pakistan
cannot change the mind set of the nation towards the great leader but it could earn some respect for Mr. Singh for at least being rational.

Scientist and Astrologists of Muslim world and specially of Pakistan could not introduce any technology or method for Lunar or Islamic calendar. Thats why we are facing problems each year in choosing the exact dates of Eid and other Festivals of having religious importance for Muslims.

Ruet-e-Hilal (Roweit e Helal) Committee is headed over by Mufti Muneebur Rehman. Eid-ul-Fitar Festival is performed in Pakistan on different days, usually it is on 2 different dates but it may also go up to 3. Majority of the people of NWFP and tribal areas celebrate this religious festival on the dates on which local scholars said. But rest of Pakistan and also a huge number of people from the NWFP also celebrate their Eid according to the dates of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.

Here the question is what is the solution of this conflict or dispute; some people says that we should follow Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Some other says that we should celebrate this one day after KSA and UAE. But the opinion of majority of the Pakistanis is that we should follow our own Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. But another issue has been raised by MMA, a political party of NWFP. MMA says that their should be a separate Moon Sighting Committee in NWFP.

Why we don’t follow setup of our federal government in this regard. And we are also making this religious festival a political issue!!!!!!

The government of Pakistan should form a Lunar Commission instead of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, which should comprises upon some famous Astrologists, Scientists, Researchers and Professional having expertise in Space. The commission should be funded without hurdles and it should use latest technology. May be in this way, we resolve this problem. having religious significance!!!!!

Increase in Poverty due to Price Inflation in Pakistan

by
Price Inflation in Pakistan has a major role in increasing the poverty. Un-official statistics shows that Pakistan is a country where the income of a person may be as low as 40 US Dollars per month and he has to support a COMPLETE FAMILY, which may comprise on his spouse, a large number of children, his siblings and his parents and even in some cases his grand parents too. According to government Pakistanis have 750$ per capita, so 62.5$ per person per month. And the price of 1 kg chicken is 3$. Who will tell us that how we can manage whole month with these 62.5$. And he has to pay a lot of taxes. In fact Pakistanis have to pay multiple taxes on each and every thing, even on the things which don’t exist.
The prices of majority commodities have gone up during the last one year, as never ending cycle of price escalation has pushed large number of items beyond the purchasing power of a common man. If we do a comprehensive analysis and comparison between prices of commodities from August 2008 to August 2009, it clearly emerges that the government has clearly failed to curb increase in price tendency by retailers and wholesalers, which has particularly gained momentum during the last one year.
For the common man in the society it has become nearly impossible to support a family. It has become extremely hard to fulfill the needs of children regarding their food, health, education and entertainment.

Price inflation in Petroleum products and in power sector has also affects the countries economy very badly.

Government has to take more concrete steps to overcome the rising cost of living that is being caused by soaring prices of essential commodities.
